Do you have a swimming pond/natural pool?

I really want one in future if funds allow and love the idea of no chemicals and the dogs being able to swim in there with us. If you have one do you use it much and what are the down sides?
We have a lot of pigeons and crows in the trees around our garden and think it might just turn into a shitting area for them like our pond has 🙄
Any advice on construction appreciated.

I don't have one, but I want one sooo much. They look so beautiful and I imagine it must feel quite childlike swimming in one. I know if I ever win the lottery I shall have one!

They look so nice and I like the idea of picking out leaves and doing the plant maintenance while I’m having a dip in there 😁

I didn’t know how they worked so looked it up. Sounds nice.
