Skincare for 13 year old with spots

Wasn't sure the right place to post this but can anyone please recommend what skin care/treatments have worked for their teenage daughters. My 13 year old has spots - not major acne - but I'd really appreciate any guidance that's worked. Thanks so much

Ceravae didn’t help. Paula’s Choice did!

Witch was my go-to in my teens. I have also used freederm. Wipes are my thing. Will do a deep clean once a week with St Ives Apricot Scrub but a wipe morning and evening does the job unless caked in makeup, avoid harsh chemicals, clean&clear burnt me.

CeraVe Salicylic Acid Cleanser, massage into face for a full minute.
A gel moisturiser
SPF (I like The Ordinary)

No facial scrubs. They will just tear up her skin. Wipes just move the dirt around.

Clean flannel every day.

Dermalogica clear start range was amazing for my daughter it lasts ages aswell

Thanks so much for these. At the moment she uses simple face wash. Skin can go between looking fairly clear with few spots to larger outbreaks

Also get some pimple patches. They stop you from touching any spots and making them worse.

(I’m a skin picker.)

We are on acnecide with garnier charcoal micellar. Still a bit spotty so may move on to Paula's choice next.

Tried nip and fab teen fix, ceraveve, nutrogena etc and skin was worse.

Thanks so much again for these recommendations

Great advice already here but I work with young people and they put me on to pimple patches, best invention ever. They help to dry out the blemish and they have skincare benefits but I just like them because you’re not worried about them being seen or the concealer making them look worse.

I personally like the star ones, despite being fully grown up, but there are clear round ones, smiley faces, flowers etc. I would rather look like I have stickers on my face than spots.

Stars!

Just be careful not to use anything too harsh, mistake I made with DS. I can't remember what it was, I think CeraVe first and then something from Avene or La Roche Posay, but all made his skin worse as dried it too much and caused more oil production. Switching to a really gentle cleanser cleared his skin very quickly.
