Post holiday blues

Just back from a lovely family holiday during half term and I am not ready to face reality!

Unfortunately, reality is insisting on facing me. I have a tonne of washing and back to school and work prep to do. I don't want to 😭

Anyone else relate right now and want to throw a toddler tantrum with me?

Ever since I started hating my job, I feel like this every Monday morning.

What’s keeping me going is the possibility of being signed off for burnout in autumn (over summer is too suspicious, especially as I’ve got holidays booked then), as a last resort. It would give me breathing space and the leverage to request an internal move to another, less dreadful, department. I unfortunately can’t leave altogether (expat on a non-transferable visa).

So yeah, I suspect post holiday blues / post weekend blues are pretty common. I know very few people who love their job, and look forward to it after time off.

Aw @Crushed23 that sounds awful!

I've had periods of hating my job too and not been in a position to leave and it's soul destroying. You have my full sympathy.
