Has anyone reduced their phone use while keeping helpful online groups?

I have realised how addicted I am to my phone.

I doom scroll on Facebook but I need Facebook for a group I am in.

I love scrolling through Mumsnet and find it helpful but addictive.

I do puzzles on my phone daily - wordle etc.

Has anybody else had this and got any better? 😊

Thanks for commenting! I was debating posting as I was sure I'd get laughed at 😬

I essentially just want a smart phone that acts like a brick phone 😂

I agree. I wish I can de-activate Facebook reels and go back to hearing about RL friends!

I remove apps from my Home Screen. So Facebook for example. It’s reduced my time on there to once every few days.
I use instagram a lot but I only follow accounts that bring me joy. I don’t play any phone games.

Whether out about with friends or at home on my own, l ave a strict self imposed rule “no phone at mealtime rule”. Of course, there can be a few exceptions, expecting a call from GP surgery etc.
