What are you actually doing with the kids this half term in Manchester?

How can I keep two kids entertained this final term vacation without spending a fortune? We're in Manchester and I've already heard "I'm bored" four times and it's only day one. What are other mums actually doing? Free or cheap ideas welcome.

We've done Alderley Edge, Marbury Country Park, nearby park, and evening walks locally already this week, and planning to do Delamere Forest tomorrow. Next week Hyde leisure pool, Werneth Low country park and cinema. Everything is expensive though - parking and an ice cream for everyone is easily £20 no matter where you go!

Ah Delamere is brilliant isn't it! That parking though 😩 honestly you think you're having a cheap day out then boom £20 gone before you've even got the kids out the car 😂 might try Alderley Edge next, did yours actually enjoy it or was it the usual 20 mins of moaning first 😄

Mine love Alderley Edge but we do know all the good places to mooch! Church quarry with the hermits tunnel behind the Wizard tea room, horseshoe quarry down at the bottom - plenty to explore!
