Hello all

Can anyone one recommend a decent 0% white wine please? We have friends coming over to stay at the weekend and they are heavy wine drinkers. Im OK with a few glasses, but then switch and the constant "oh why have you stopped drinking" " ooh she's gone all teetotal" gets on oue nerves.
We've tried telling them ive had enough, bit of a lightweight etc , but they dont listen, seem to be from the school that the more you drink the more tolerant you become. They are DR'S friends, mine know im a lousey drinker!

What i plan to do is a few non alcoholic Hugo Fizz and then change to a non alcoholic white.
So if anyone knows a decent one from Marks, Aldi or Tesco ( only supermarkets near us) i would be really grateful.

The red wine in M&S is ok, haven't tried any of their whites

Oh god, no to the Kylie one. It’s sweet and grim. I don’t know how people drink it.

The Freixnet 0.0% is the closest to an actual fizz. Unfortunately, it’s very hard to find a normal AF wine that is decent because you need sugar, salt, fizz or alcohol to carry the flavour.

I really like the REAL tea dry dragon which is a kombucha (sparkling tea), but it’s dry not sugary. A decent Waitrose usually has it.

I know what you mean about the sweetness but they all are, so this is the best of a bad bunch. I'm still looking for non sweet one!

I like mcguigans sauvignon blanc 0% it has to be very cold. As someone who drinks sauvignon too much its the only af that's worked to trick me rather than going without. I also like it mixed half and half with chepa normal dry white wine to make what i call session wine 😂

Another vote for Tanquray 0%, though I prefer Clean G, which has regular and rhubarb ‘gin’s. Neither taste hugely like gin, but both are good and don’t feel watery/thin, which some alcohol-free drinks do.

Might seem odd after food, but I find 0% lagers are generally pretty good.

The Kylie sparkling rosé isn't bad. All the whites I've tried have been awful.

I think thats 6% but I agree it is nice, i also agree about Low Alcohol white wine is horrible, although i quite like "nosecco"

There's an alcohol free one as well

Ah right, I've not seen it.

I’d really like a low alcohol white wine because I’m not that keen on red or sparkling wine. Sadly haven’t found one yet!

I find the freixenet 0% rose is really nice, not too sweet. Best served very chilled!

Cheerfulcharlie · 29/05/2026 18:30

The Freixenet 0% white or rose sparkling is the best non-alcoholic one I've tried.

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 29/05/2026 18:42

They are all pretty grim but Kylie one is the best.

Coldiron · 29/05/2026 20:53

I think the very best 0% fizz is Scavi and Ray which you can get on amazon. The first time I had it was in a Michelin starred restaurant and I had to double check the bottle to make sure it really was alcohol free

AD1509 · 29/05/2026 21:07

I always found a fake gin and tonic the easiest. Especially with an empty Gordon’s gin bottle filled with water in the cupboard. Then if a guest would like one themselves I would go “oh try this gin it’s lovely” and go grab a different one.

MouldyCandy · 29/05/2026 22:02

The Kylie 0% is quite sweet. It tastes of strawberries to me.
For a flat white, Noughty is tolerable. A bit apple-y.
Some just taste like vinegar - the one I bought from Aldi went straight down the sink after one sip. I've not seen a fizzy version in my local store.
My favourite is Nozecco rose. It has more flavour than the white Nozecco.

Mossstitch · 29/05/2026 22:17

Becks blue lager is the best ice cold from the freezer on a hot day.
Only white ive tasted was like sherbert.........never again!!!

Middlemarch123 · 29/05/2026 22:25

The best AF drinks in my experience are Becks Blue (stick it in freezer till it’s almost frozen, best slushy ever); 0% percent Guiness, chilled and the Koppenburg AF fruit cider.

The wines are meh, Better off avoiding, waste of money. Just want me want the real thing.
