Pain after tooth extraction

When does it improve?! I’m on 48hrs now, it was a lower molar but all my upper teeth near it are killing and I’m struggling to sleep with it
it’s like they’re all throbbing. I had a wisdom tooth out but that came out easily and this molar took a bit longer

I'd go back to your dentist to see if healing is going well. The pain in your upper teeth is caused by a completely different nerve, so shouldn't have anything to do with a lower extraction unless they got knocked while the procedure was done.

I’ve rung them and they’re seeing me this afternoon. Ibuprofen and paracetamol not really helping

Poor you, as a former dental nurse I remember someone with a dry socket who said they would be happy to have their head removed as it was so painful. Hopefully it will soon feel better with treatment.

Funnily this is the third time I’ve had it and it’s never been worse than maybe 4/10
