A couple of nights ago I decided to visit my local bar; the heat was getting to me and I needed a. change of scenery as well as a cold beer and some company.
Upon entering the bar I was greeted by the owner who asked if it was my first time visiting to which I replied I'd been there dozens of times before. He introduced me to a group of people who were participating in one of their monthly events, think open mike sort of thing.
I went to order my beer and was met by a really charming and friendly bartender. She was immaculately made up, hair part up,a very nice frilly blouse; very polished and professional I thought. She apologised that she would have to change the cask/ barrel and if I wanted to take a seat she would bring my drink over to me.
A few minutes later this charming young woman brought me my beer and my jaw almost hit the floor.
She had her blouse tucked into an enormous pair of waist high knickers!
At first I thought they might have been cycling shorts, but no; thick black elastine type pants. No tights and black ballet flats.
My question is,is this really a thing nowadays? I was genuinely shocked.
