The most embarrassing thing has just happened- help me ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Iโ€™m in the middle of house renovations at the min and the builder was in my bedroom doing work ( of course heโ€™s young and gorgeously handsome) I nipped to the shop to get some cold drinks and ice lollyโ€™s for the team as itโ€™s obviously boiling. On my return I notice some of my underwear and socks
on the floor on the landing. He turns to me and says โ€œ sorry love these were stuffed down the radiatorโ€ yip, you guessed it. My very unattractive heavily brown period stained underwear is in full sight of the most delicious specimen Iโ€™ve come across. I actually want to die. He will have definitely seen all the stains and now I want to fall into a hole. Im
sure he will have shown the other men on site! I want to cry Iโ€™m so so embarrassed ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Black knickers still stain, just go a funny sort of colour.

OP, a window fitter found a mouse behind one of my side tables. Dead of course. Shows how little I clean behind things.

MightyGoldBear · 27/05/2026 20:24

Sorry op this did give me a chuckle but I feel for you.

On the black underwear doesn't stain, it absolutely does! I also remember wearing black leggings and leaking through them at university somehow it went bright red! Semi shiny fabric so some sort of reaction ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I had to tie my jumper around my waist to try and hide it. Black is not the safety colour you'd think it was.

Sausagedog101 · 27/05/2026 21:11

Sorry OP this did make me chuckle. I do feel for you. Iโ€™d feel exactly the same!

Angelic999 · 27/05/2026 22:09

Well, at least he didn't keep them. Although you'd think he'd just dispose of them or put them somewhere discreetly rather than announce it. Sounds like a bit of a twat trying to embarrass you.

Th best cure to fix an embarrassing situation is do something more embarrassing to cancel it out.

Pop the worst stained pair on your head and walk in singing the 'who will buy' song from Oliver

This made me laugh ๐Ÿ˜‚

Seriously OP, I wouldn't worry. The guy will forget about it soon enough. Or at least when he leaves, you won't ever see him again. You have to just put on the biggest fake smile until then, though he may think you are deranged too.

I think I must be missing something. Why were there period stained pants stuffed behind your radiator?

I presume they were clean and being dried (20 years ago) on the radiator and slipped down the back. Just happened to be her grotty, stained ones.

AgonyAuntLil · 27/05/2026 22:42

Forget it. I'm sure he realises that women have periods. Bet he has a pair of skid marked pants stashed away somewhere! ๐Ÿ˜‚

If it makes you feel better, my sister full frontal flashed our mother this morning.

She's lost a fair bit of weight and decided to show mum how loose her clothes are so she stood up, said "look" and pulled her top up/out a bit.

At which point her trousers just dropped to the floor. And she wasnt wearing pants.

She said our mum made a noise she's never heard a human being make before.

Which i suppose is not unreasonable when your daughter says look then drops trou at you.

hoyalinearis · 27/05/2026 22:54

Mate I can top this. I shaved my pubes in the downstairs toilet last year during renovations and didnโ€™t realise it had been disconnected until after. It was late at night so I shut the lid and forgot about it. Come back from work the next day and the toilet had fucking gone. DP didnโ€™t tell me the plumber was removing it. We still use that plumber now and every time I look at him I wonder if heโ€™s thinking about the fact I literally left a toilet bowl full of pubes for him ๐Ÿ˜ญ

SmallandSpanish · 27/05/2026 23:06

My teenage son wouldnโ€™t bat an eyelid, heโ€™s seen his sisters and probably leaves his own skid marks. Confused Not ideal but not worth losing sleep over.

whitefluffydog · 27/05/2026 23:14

I wash mine and display in communal gardens. But the neighbours think I am both weird and misanthrope lol, so this goes well with my intentions to keep playing the game

JurgenKloppsTeeth · 27/05/2026 23:21

@hoyalinearis oh god, Iโ€™m dying for you. ๐Ÿ˜‚

SwatTheTwit · 27/05/2026 23:33

If it makes you feel any better, one time I had moved into this place but not had a washing machine yet (had nothing but a bed and a sofa, in fact).

LL never told me he was getting people in to check the boiler or whatever, so I come home during lunch time (it was very close to my workplace) just in time to see a workman move my basin with underwear soaking that I had left earlier in the morning. I think I cried later that day lol.

Reminds me of the workmen unblocking the pipe from the septic tank to the place where the contents spread out underground. All of a sudden a cascade of shit shot about 6 feet in the air. My gallant OH said: "It's all hers", pointing at me. What a gent!

Oh, @IncompleteSenten, this just made me properly guffaw!
