I cannot afford to discard tools because I do not like their design ..😀

It's totally unnavigable. And the headline is ALWAYS clickbait.

PickAChew · 07/06/2026 17:25

Andrew Husband being a whinge bag again, I see. It's all sooooo unFAIIIIIIIRRRRRRR they all hateusssss!!

Baby magpie tax. It's almost cute. Mum and dad are swooping over to eyeball it every time it flutters out of sight. It's not enjoying the wind and looking quite baffled by it. Hopefully, as a singleton, it won't turn into as much of a thug as the ones we had last year. They were extremely noisy and destructive, once they found their wings.

CPAC Great Britain

March

“We will be steering well clear of it,” a Reform UK source said, dashing any hopes that Farage would attend.

Today

Farage has been confirmed as a speaker at CPAC Great Britain on July 16-18.

Coincidence?
CPAC just partnered with The B itcoin Collective

All I know is the more Farage is pushing the c-word, the lower the price seems to go.

Maybe he'll get another £5 million from his crapto friend.

DuncinToffee · 07/06/2026 18:30

Which one, he has a few.

I think one is planning to move back to the Uk so he can keep funding Farage

For some reason I have just remembered the plot of The Producers.

Sell, sell, sell. Lurkers. It's your only hope.

No surprises here -

NEW: New evidence local Facebook/other social media groups fuelling misinformation - filling void left by retreating local media.

Misinformation 3x more in areas with little/no recognised local journalism.

Misinfo peaks at local elections. MPs concerned

The @SMFthinktank research found 2/5 local Facebook groups & more than 4/5 X searches featured at least one piece of misinfo in their most recent 1,000 posts.

These groups are run by admins with no training, some support particular parties.

MPs say they have a real impact.

Then 5 minutes later some bright spark creates a thread on mumsnet using the misinformation spreading it further and which MNHQ then decline to remove...............

Got, checks notes, a Katie Hopkins post. Immediate block. Also a Kenyon post - immediate block.

Not sure if this is linked to my recent following of Kemi Badenoch.

eta this was on Facebook. My algorithms have somehow been breeched.

DuncinToffee · 08/06/2026 12:31

Could also be the MN algorithms? The two tier conspiracy line is being pushed hard.

PM gives tech firms 3 months to activate built-in features or implement tech
solutions to make it impossible for children to take, share or view naked pictures on their devices

• if they don’t, the government says it will bring forward legislation to force them to activate blocking technology

Would be better if they stopped posting on X

Edited

This is my problem. I try to follow different sources so I get a balance. I have Starmer, Badenoch amongst others.

I mainly post on things with a left bias but my feed is constantly full of right wing rubbish as though its being filtered deliberately. My DH is the same, and his Facebook is mainly football.

I've told it so many times I don't want to see Rupert Lowe, but there he is, every day something ridiculous he's posted appears.

I would leave, but like to keep in touch with friends across the World and it's an easy way to do it. It just concerns me that people are being forced to see this crap.

DuncinToffee · 08/06/2026 14:12

Sense speaking Badenoch

The fossil fuels industry was deeply engaged in Trump's 2024 campaign, extracting commitments that it would guide policy and law if he won. Similarly, the fossil fuels giants have steered every element of Tory policy. Now their role in crafting Kemi Badenoch’s North Sea Fantasy is fully exposed.

Having just spent the weekend helping an elderly neighbour get "back online" after Apple killed their iCloud account (because of the OSA). then fuck the children.

You try doing that without a credit card, passport, driving licence or "UK Identity card".

I got asked why I have never been asked for verification. It's because my Apple account is older than 18.

Badenoch is having another go at the repeal of the public sector equality duty,

Focussing mostly on race and forgetting that gender, disability, age etc are also included.

She must by now realise that pandering to Reform doesn't work.

Maybe she should have a word with the 2023 Equalities Minister

"There are no protected groups in the Act, only protected characteristics. A white man is just as protected on characteristics of race+sex as a black woman. Yet many believe the Act is just there to protect minorities"
