Musk is encouraging violence on X

Politics UK is a Reform account

Is it? Are you sure? Bloody hell. Lots of left wing people follow it. It describes itself as:

I Politics UK is the home of UK political news. Run by young people, for young people – we’ve grown from 30K followers on X in February 2023 to over 400K today by cutting through the noise and delivering politics in a way young people actually want to read it. We do this by breaking news before any major outlet while keeping it engaging across X, TikTok, and Instagram.

But that’s not all. For those who want more than the headlines, our website delivers student-led explainers and reporting, plus opinion pieces from MPs and well-known commentators. Covering UK, US, and global politics – and in partnership with Chamber UK and Curia – we add extra insight and context to every story and policy.

DuncinToffee · 02/06/2026 21:34

Owned by Bailey Nash-Gardner who is now a Reform councillor

It’s run by Bailey Nash Gardener, who was a Conservative member & worked for Andrew Rosindell - they both defected to Reform.

God, I didn't know that. Apologies!

Saw Musk at it again - so glad we voted for ‘foreign interference’ in Britain back in 2016.

Musk is bankrolling/backing Lowe - and looks like Tommeh’s got onboard with equality in racism when previously he was focused on hating Islam. Looked like someone paid for his latest round of coke - if unfortunately not his life in Spain at the minute.

Efacsen · 02/06/2026 21:43

Poor Henry Nowaks family - their wishes being ignored and disrespected - as if they haven't got enough to deal with without all this happening

His mate Laurence Fox is there as well, it's really worrying what is happening.

No worries @TemperanceWest

Ugh - Fox is (also) repulsive - I used to like watching Lewis but can’t any more.

LittleBowSheep · 02/06/2026 22:48

What's happening is utterly disgusting. That crowd in Southampton are only there for one reason. Every single one of them should be ashamed of themselves. I feel so sorry for Henry's family.

And as for Farage, Tommy ten-names, Musk etc, they have sunk lower than a snake's belly once again.

Llttledrummergirl · 02/06/2026 22:50

Laila Cunningham on Newsnight is being so fucking disrespectful. Her faux outrageousness when she can't even bring herself to remember the victims full name and refers to him just by surname as though he is nothing but a name on a piece of paper she could use.
She can fuck right off back into whatever fucking scum pond she crawled out of.

Henry Nowak deserves better.
His family deserve better.

As a population we should be following their wishes and making things better as a result of this really sad event and helping them heal.

Calling for rage and marches against the police, politicising this is fucking awful.l

Think they live there all the time - just who knew a snake’s belly had a basement (to paraphrase)

Robinson appears to be coked up to the eyeballs.

DuncinToffee · 02/06/2026 23:21

From Joshua Mortimer

The Southampton rally (ostensibly) about Henry Nowak, ft Tommy Robinson tonight, is a far right hate fest. Paul Golding and UKIP leader Nick Tenconi among those present so far (Tenconi has been speaking). They are treating this as a recruiting ground.

Have already identified outright neo-Nazis at the Southampton rally supposedly about Henry Nowak (his family have been clear they don't want hate & division).

Also aware of at least one prominent activist there who has a weapons conviction.

Tommy Robinson
Paul Golding
Nick Tenconi
Laurence Fox

All concerned locals are they?
Or they spotted an opportunity for violence against the police - not the first time Robinson has been violent against police officers.

Egged on by Farage, Jenrick, Lowe and Musk - wealthy men who can stay on the sidelines whilst cheering them on.

I never thought I’d say it but Badenoch’s piece in The Times this morning is bang on the money.

https://www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/article/kemi-badenoch-interview-henry-nowak-vvhtr8qjv

I can only see first line - but agree I think with her - noticeable that finally she’s putting some ‘clear blue water’ between Tories and Reform - been difficult to tell them apart lately.

countrygirl99 · 03/06/2026 08:15

Good god, Kemi has written something sensible, compassionate and level headed. Do this more often please. Jenrick's response shows up the arsehole he is.

pointythings · 03/06/2026 08:19

She's still wrong about institutional racism in the police, but it's good to see her calling out Farage.

MsJinks · 03/06/2026 08:19

BIossomtoes · 03/06/2026 08:08

Ah thank you - I wasn’t hinting lol but good to read.

I agree with nearly all of what she said - particularly about tribalism and Farage - I’m not sure it’s all down to anti racist policy though.

I imagine a lot played into the officers’ decisions that night - including probably that the Sikh family would be/looked respectable- but not necessarily ‘oh we must believe the brown man not white’ as that’s our policy.

It is a dreadful, dreadful incident and it may be hard to unpick - what is obvious though is that the police processes and actions do need to be reviewed and better/clearer guidance issued if necessary.

TemperanceWest · 03/06/2026 08:52

Yep. Agree with you all. Good for her calling Farage out. Not 100% with her on everything she says, but she is right about most of it.

I hope that at PMQs Starmer and Badenoch unite over this. It is so important. I would also like to see a slightly less combative PMQs generally today. It is a day for solidarity, not sniping.

Yep. I think I filled my bingo card. It's a relief to see her displaying a sense of nuance rather than pushing for reactions, though. Jenrick shows himself to be even more unpleasant than I suspected.

Perhaps she was particularly keen on outlining differences between her and Jenrick - who I guess she can’t abide!

She surely can’t snipe about this, the biggest news item today, as she more or less agrees with the adults in the room for once. I hope they do unite on this - it would be in her favour to be apart from Reform views anyway - not sure she recognises this always.

Wonder if Farage will bother turning up - he could sow hatred and division but he also risks being called out for incitement - oh and his cash gifts ha.

Notonthestairs · 03/06/2026 09:13

Philp is quite happy circling that particular drain though.
