I see Allison Pearson’s joined in now. She appears to have deserted the Tories she so loved when Johnson was PM.

I am crying. It is hard to write down the circumstances of the death of Henry Nowak without crying. Each time I think about how that young man met his end, I find myself consumed with sadness and a sense of raging disbelief.

Kemi Badenoch is utterly in the wrong when she criticises Nigel Farage for declaring people should feel “icy rage” about Henry’s horrifying case. We will take no pious lectures from her about “tribalism” or the disgusting police treatment of a beloved son and brother.

For once, I am on Badenoch's side (although I don't agree with everything she said, but she wasn't trying to stir up hate like Farage).

I assume Badenoch has at least read or listened to the views of Nowak’s family.

Which is a lot more than Farage and friends have done - or maybe they just don’t consider their views as important as their own.

I’ve seen a video of Nige - well a clip as he makes me feel quite sick - he says whilst Nowak’s family said what they did ‘I suggest the rest of us respond with pure, cold rage’ I mean ffs it’s not right to listen to Nowak’s family? The real victims.

My heart breaks for the Nowaks. This is exactly what they didn't want.

I’m not sure how a riot will speed up an IOPC investigation (and I do think any investigation should be expedited).

The footage I have seen is on an ordinary street with people in their houses looking scared as the yobs lob cans and bins at the police.
