Any one been to the Maldives in the last 2 years or so. And would you receommend it?
I have a big birthday coming up and husband has said I can choose a big holiday. We've done a couple of holidays in the Caribbean and I've always fancied the Maldives. Has anyone been recently? Any particular nice islands? Or any down sides? Would you go again? Presumably all inclusive thanks

I don't know whether to take this - as nobody's been recently?? Any thoughts? I like the idea of 'no news no shoes' . Anyone been? restful, do you get bored if the island is small? We are thinking a week??? Anyone. Leaving children with grandparents.

We try and go every January if we can afford it. Our lives are very busy though and we go for a complete reset. Some people find it boring, we don’t.
We go to South Lux and highly recommend it, definitely all inclusive or you’ll be spending some serious money for food and alcohol.
If you’re looking for a quiet holiday, clear warm sea and good food you can’t beat it, it’s the place that stays with you if you know what I mean. We went to Barbados a few years ago but didn’t like it as much as the Maldives.

We went for 8 nights in 2022 - it was very restful and great for tropical fish, beaches etc but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer as was a bit dull to me, prefer having more wildlife or more to explore. If you are just looking for lovely beaches, snorkelling, swimming etc its great.

We have been a few times with and without kids. I find it totally reinvigorating. Nowhere else like it. I love water though so could never get bored.

Went a while back but it isn’t exciting enough for me, I scuba dived then but now I’m not medically fit to dive I’d be quickly bored. Same direction but I prefer Sri Lanka as there’s cultural stuff to do, I get bored with beaches after a couple of hours

We went to Ozen Bolifushi in November and loved it, will definitely go back, the food was amazing there, and beautiful water villas. We did chill a lot, so if you’re more into activities, look into whether this place will have all you need x
