Boring thread alert - clothes drying!

Serial tumble dryer user here!

Weather has been glorious so thought I’d dry the laundry outside for a change. Result was crispy crunchy clothes, not soft at all!

What am I doing wrong? 😑

A good shake and embrace the line dried feel.

Why we would want to use electricity to dry clothes when we don't have to is beyond me.

I currently have 2 loads hanging which I put out last night and left overnight and a other load in the machine to go out when it finishes and can bring the other stuff in.

Tumble dryer is of course a boon for those with mobility problems, flats with no outdoor space and for our house the bloody annoying wet spring months and early autumn when it is too wet to dry outside but not cold enough to put the heating on so stuff takes too long to dry on the pulley airer.

Oh and also fantastic when I (regularly) leave a tissue in my work uniform pocket. The dryer takes all the flecks of tissue right off it!
