Lost parcel, Vinted refusing claim

Has anyone had a similar experience and what was the outcome?
Sold something and buyer chose DPD. Dropped off at my local DPD drop off (receipt given). 6 days later still no tracking update. Called DPD who stated that they nor the drop off point had my parcel and only Vinted can escalate.
Vinted are saying as the parcel was not scanned into their (DPDs) system, they are not liable and there is no case to escalate. 🤬

Send something to vinted like:

”I fulfilled my obligations by depositing the parcel at an authorised DPD drop-off point and I have proof of acceptance/receipt.

The parcel was therefore handed into your contracted courier network. The absence of a later scan indicates a failure within the logistics chain, not a failure to dispatch.

Please escalate this to your logistics investigations team and confirm the compensation procedure under Vinted Buyer Protection and integrated shipping terms.”

Also go back to the shop. Ask them:

  • Do they still have CCTV from that day?
  • What time did DPD collect?
  • Was there a manifest/collection scan?
  • Can they confirm the parcel was accepted?

Some parcel shops keep unscanned parcels in the back if a collection was missed.

Also, what sort of receipt do you have?

I had the same thing with Vinted and Evri and I had cctv of it being scanned from the shop. Vinted refused to do anything as now it’s an email receipt with Evri and that did not come through. So no proof of dispatch according to them. I sent probably 50 messages to Vinted, emailed them and Did a resolver case and then gave up. Evri even deemed the parcel lost but would not let me claim as the contract is with Vinted. I would not normally let it go but Vinted are banning people for any little thing at the moment.

When I got there a lady scanned my barcode, stuck a corresponding sticker on the parcel and gave me a slip with tracking info.

I’ve had that happen to me for a return for a major retailer. They did push back a bit but they refund me in the end. You have proof you dropped it so that is all you need.
