Tell me all about Athens

Already booked the holiday, how were all your experiences?

We stayed in a coastal area with kids aged 7-14 and liked being at the beach. We went into Athens twice and went up to the acropolis.
We should definitely have gone to the acropolis earlier in the day as it was so hot. We booked online before getting there and this worked well.
Plaka area (I think this is the name) had gorgeous tavernas.

We stayed central, but were there in Feb so not too hot.

acropolis was amazing as were many of the other museums.

we did a trip to Delphi which was totally worth it although long day.

Went one September and had a fantastic time, spent on of you days at a salt lake just outside the city which was lovely
beautiful food and wine
