Anyone been to Leicester Square Theatre where famous comedians trial out new material?

Got tickets in a couple of weeks for a comedian. Just for an hour it says apparently they use this venue to trial out new material.

Just wondering if anyone has been before?

Yes, I saw Ricky Gervais there a couple of years ago.

Just wondering if there's any warm up and if everyone leaves after the hour as need to plan train time home

I’ve been lots of times. Some better than others but never regretted going.

So no one hangs around then, venue closes? thats what Im trying to work out

It’s just the hour then you get herded out. No opportunity to stay in the bar or anything.

They will have a few shows that evening.

I saw Mickey Flanagan doing a try out and yes it's literally just the hour of material and then go home. It's interesting as you get to see the act as it's being developed ( he was using notes on stage) but it means the material is less polished .
