Heat whilst at home/working v holiday heat

Hi
I'm curious.
If you are struggling with the UKs current weather, do you also struggle when on holiday? Do you avoid hot holidays?

I know it is very different being 35 degrees in your semi in Reading to 35 degrees beachside in the Greek Islands.

Personally I love a hot foreign holiday but also like it hot here. I'm pretty adaptable and the only worry at home is the dog.

I don't mind the heat at home or on holiday, personally. But I lived and worked in much hotter countries for years so I'm used to it.

I don't struggle much abroad.

People claim it's a 'different heat' abroad but 9 times out of 10 it's just because they're by the sea, and most buildings have aircon.

I hate hot weather beyond words. I went se Asia last summer and it was mostly ok - every building / taxi had aircon. That said Singapore was really hard.

I'm ok with dry heat, it's the humidity that gets me.

I prefer dry heat to the sort of humidity we get here but can honestly say that I don’t remember ever being too hot in all of my 68 years. The first time we went to Egypt, my little thermometer that I always used to take away with us broke when it got to 50 degrees 🤣. But because the heat was so dry, we really didnt find it unpleasant.
