How much does it cost you to go to Western Europe for one week?

I’ve deliberately posted here and not on holidays to get a more general view. I know there’s huge differences between people and I think I’m way off the mark in the cost of a week abroad in somewhere like Spain or France. Someone at work told me how much it was for her family and I nearly fell over!
I’m not here to ask as a competition, but genuinely intrigued. We had a caravan for many years and toured all over Europe with the children. Ferries then were cheap as were campsites. We’ve also been fortunate to have use of a family apartment so only had to pay for flights.
Neither of those are an option for us now so I’m looking at what is the average cost for an average week. Nothing fancy, just a week abroad. So all I’m after is the cost for one week and for how many people. Thanks!

Eurocamp - Up to about £1500 for a week plus ferry/tunnel, anything from nothing with Tesco vouchers to about £600 on a longer crossing.

I'd think over £2k was quite a lot!

This was the sort of thing I was asking. Just getting a general idea as to how much is perceived as ‘normal’ (yes I know that varies a lot from one person to the next).
I’m not asking in terms of budgeting a holiday, more just intrigued as to how much people spend on holidays.

I say this is the cheapest I could get going ‘mid range’. You can spend probably a grand less or a grand more depending on when you go, where you and how you go :)

I’m on holiday in Germany. It cost £2,300 for flights and hotel, approx £500 for excursions plus another £1,000 for my spending. Other person has their own money.

If you're flying the cost can often depend which airport you fly out of, our local one never seems to have any bargains compared to other airports (think £280 v £80 for same dates and destination when I did a comparison recently!). And living way up north, I wouldn't even consider taking the car and ferry or tunnel to europe as it's 2 days of driving just to get to the ferry terminal!

My general rule of thumb per night per person:
£110 self catering
£125 b&b
£140 Half board
£160 All Inclusive
This is for the summer months, June to September - Greece, Spain, or islands of either. This would be for somewhere mid range, so not properly basic (or shit) but not the height of luxury either. If you want luxury but not crazy uber luxurious then I'd add another £35-£45 per person per night for those prices.
Not an exact science but usually works out about right.
I've got a week in a villa, followed by 3 nights in a city hotel in Spain and (including hire car) paid just over £3k for June this year. In October I've paid £1.8k for a week in Ibiza, All Inclusive Adult only. This is for 2 people.
