Viagogo- safe?

I desperately tried to get my daughter tickets for her favourite band on both the presale and general sale days of release.

I’m not sure how people actually get a hold of tickets to these events as I was on the site waiting for them to be released and then tried effortlessly for 3 hours to purchase two tickets but they kept on disappearing right in front of my eyes 😭😭

she doesn’t know that I tried to get her tickets but does know they are playing soon in the UK and I REALLY want to surprise her.

There are tickets on Viagogo (at massively inflated prices). I’m prepared to pay the money BUT I’m terrified it’ll just be a scam or we don’t get the tickets and that would be even more awful for her to think she’s going only to be let down.

has anyone used Viagogo successfully? Is it a big risk to take?

I have used it successfully three times, and did not have any problems at all. I only use it as sometimes it’s the only way to get tickets, and it’s worth the risk to me. Very expensive though!

People who buy from viagogo and the like are the reason you can't get tickets.
I'd rather go without than be part of it

I accidentally bought of them and it was stressful not getting the actual tickets until the morning of the gig

I used them once, the tickets didn't work but I got a refund for them no problem. I have heard of lots of people getting scammed on there, also lots of people who haven't.

It's a massive risk.
