It's Springtime in Eastgate Park for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so over the next week or so, I'll be bringing you scenes of everything that's going on. Today there are several people jogging in the park. Preston is out for his morning run.

He brings it back to Violet.

Just catching up on the last few days. I absolutely love the "helmet hair" from the day of the food truck! And I hadn't realised that there were so many different Playmo dogs. The ones who can pick up frisbees and balls in their mouths are especially lovely

Any playmo cats, @SoMuchToBits? I've just been reading an article about Louis Wain and have ordered the DVD of the film. Would be fun to see lots of mogs doing all sorts of things. 😁

Thank you for all the great comments! @petalpower helped a lot with naming the dogs - we had a bit of a brainstorming session when we were out for lunch one day!

@AcornAntiques yes I did think that about the posts! And the yellow ball the dog picks up would be a good rounders ball.

@Occasionalcyclist yes the Newfoundlands with opening mouths are a fairly recent invention. In fact Shadow was supposed to be in a wedding set to hold the cushion with the rings on in his mouth. But what I actually found in the set (a brand new one, not second hand) was the same type of dog, but brown in colour, and a mouth which didn't open! This necessitated a call to Playmobil Customer Services, who sent me the right dog!

@UnctuousUnicorns there are several Playmo cats (including Brandy, who ate Rhys's fish). Not sure what they'd get up to though!

The photo of Sinead with Nielsen is still apparently under review, so I have contacted MN to ask about that! And that's another example of not knowing when you might need something - if you had asked me last year if I would ever need a Playmobil Great Dane, I would have said no...

Yippee, my other photo has now been approved! Just as well, as I'm very pleased to have a Great Dane called Nielsen. For anyone who doesn't get it, Carl Nielsen was a famous Danish composer, therefore an actual great Dane. <sorry>

Yes! They could have all sorts of fun. Maybe a rogue dog could run off with the ball! Maybe someone could smash a greenhouse/conservatory! You never know what might happen...

There is a skate park in Eastgate Park. Gina and Rocco and their boys Warwick, Franklin and Orville are here for a day out.
