It's Springtime in Eastgate Park for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so over the next week or so, I'll be bringing you scenes of everything that's going on. Today there are several people jogging in the park. Preston is out for his morning run.

Thank you for tagging me @SoMuchToBits, I really appreciate it! Love the dog agility but am feeling really quite sad for Hercules! And I hope Caryl isn’t looking after the Grandchildren for the whole of the half term holiday. She looks worn out and it’s only Tuesday!

Another boingy horse lover here. I was waiting for the little boy who caught all the fish to then tell his mother that he only eats fish fingers....

I think Caryl only had the grandchildren for the day. That really made me laugh about the fish fingers!

Oh this is fab, thank you so much, it must take ages to stage all the characters and props for the photos. I particularly loved the robbers, their stripey t-shirts and names - Jack Jellyhead and Colin Custardhead! That made me laugh so much. These would make wonderful children's books.

Thank you all! Yes, it does take ages to stage and set up the scenes, but I do a lot of planning beforehand! For each scenario I work out which people and props I need and make a list. The evening before I take the photos I will get out all the people and props I need for the next day, and assemble anything that needs assembling. That means it's a much quicker set-up on the day.

Jack Jellyhead got his name when my ds was a child. We had the set containing Jack and Colin at that time, and on the Playmobil website then, there was a game you could play called "Bicycle Cops" In the game the bicycle cop (they didn't name him but we call him Raymond) was chasing Jack Jellyhead (so named by Playmobil). We thought then that all the robbers should have similar names, hence Colin Custardhead, Tom Triflehead, Ian Icecreamhead etc...

They could make wonderful children's books, definitely. I often think they would be perfect in a primary-school setting for teaching English and other languages. They contain so many possibilities for learning vocabulary, verbs, tenses, and so on. Children could talk about what might happen next or write their own version of the text to accompany the pictures. You could make a few bob @SoMuchToBits 😄😄

Thanks @FuzzyCaoraDhubh but a) the photography is very amateur, and b) I'm not sure whether there would be copyright issues with using a branded product... I'd have no idea how to go about it either!

TBH Norman the Foreman is my true love but I do have a soft spot for the Playmo baddies.

I have been dealing with Real Life tm so I hope something really low key is happening in Playmo Land. Maybe the flowers need watering, by Kylie? Norman almost runs out of tea bags but discovers a secret stash. Someone’s kite gets stuck in a tree but they get it back again.
