How to use a short break between jobs well

I’m changing jobs soon, and I’m excited but also got a few nerves! I have a short break inbetween jobs and want to try and use the time wisely but not feel guilty for relaxing. I also want to try and give myself a bit of a boost or a ‘glow up’! Any suggestions of what I should try/ be looking to do?!

How long is it?

I had 2 weeks off between jobs last year. I spent it taking lovely long walks in the countryside (something I can never get enough of), visited a friend for a couple of days, did some jobs round the house that I’d not go round to for a while (pottering type jobs, not top to bot redecoration!!). Also had a catch up with my new manager so I could start thinking myself into my new job.

I’m also planning to have a break, not sure exactly how long yet but hoping for 2/3 weeks.

im planning to do some redecorating and painting, and reorganising my wardrobes. I feel like it will be good pre the new job start to know exactly what I have in the wardrobe and start out refreshed and organised.

I had 2 weeks between jobs. I went to a health farm on my own for the first week. The only time I’ve ever been away on my own (apart from residential training courses).

It was nice, and I lost about 10 pounds (it was a juicing retreat). I’m glad I did it as it was something completely different which helped me reset. I did miss my husband a lot, so I’m not sure I’d do it again.
