How can I pack my enormous variety of tea bags for trips?!?

At home I have 5-6 different teas - mostly herbal and not in individual packets just boxes. I travel with work and nothing I’ve tried is right to keep the different flavours separate without using loads of massive ziplock bags for 3/4 tea bags in each one which feels like a waste. They all look the same so it’s hard to tell the difference once they’re out of their boxes.

I’ve tried old school cash bags but they’re too small. I’ve tried dinner money envelopes but they’re too small.

There must be something out there - that’s likely designed for a completely different purpose - but that’s sectioned or segmented in some way to fit 3-4 different teas in….

Any inspired ideas??!

As a travelling tea lover I know the struggle. I am happy with my wooden caddy. It is not too bulky and keeps then nice and organised. I am not a fan of plastic storage bags and they were always getting lost in my weekend bag. I like this box because I know which order my tea is in. Prior to this I used travel tea bag tins but they didn't store enough and when you have several of them take up more room.

I take small zip locks. I take rooibos and decaf tea away with me. I agree other tea just doesn’t taste right 😂

Sainsbury’s sells them - you can get small, medium or large depending on how many you want to take

you can get tiny ziplock type bags or envelope in stationery shops.

however, depending on the length of stay I would limit the choice for the trip.
I also travel with work often and always carry cardamon pods and decaff coffee pads.

What about one of the wallets used to carry camera filters? They're quite slimline and have multiple pockets.

Otherwise I think small ziplock bags are the way to go. A wooden box etc would take up too much space in a backpack/case.

Though, if you're travelling overseas, I'd use that as an opportunity to buy interesting local teas. Especially if it's Germany, their herbal selection is great.

Why don’t you get the tea bags that are in paper sachets, then they can all go in the same ziploc bag?

To update all you wonderful problem solvers and fellow tea obsessive, I’ve got the IKEA tiny bags and they are indeed an excellent option. But my very exciting update is that DS is getting a 3D printer for his birthday so this will be an excellent bespoke project for him!

Great idea for a present. Gets you all the fiddly things you need, a chance to sit with your ds and design things together and teaches him a very useful skill (cad). I love ds's printer.
