Just watched the Michael Jackson film and I honestly went in a bit sceptical. I completely understand why some people won’t watch it on principle because of the allegations and complicated legacy around him.
But putting that aside for a moment, Jaafar Jackson absolutely blew me away. The mannerisms, voice, movement, screen presence — it was actually eerie at times. Could have so easily become a caricature or tribute act, but I thought he genuinely captured something special.
Whatever people think about Michael Jackson himself, playing someone that famous and recognisable must be one of the hardest acting jobs possible, and I thought Jaafar was insanely talented. Curious what others thought?
