Hi all.
What do you prefer whats your time of day and whats your season.
daytime or night time, winter or summer.

I do more at night i go for walks in the dark early hours in the mornings, its very peaceful.
In my defence i do have a skin issue thats worse in daytime along with list of allergies.

My life is much easier in winter time love winter time and im a night person.
I get very happy when autumn starts to set in.

I love October onwards especially when the clocks go back and I adore the dark nights. They're cozy, quieter and far more comfortable. I do like the bright early mornings and seeing the little ducks on the canal in the Spring but not at all a fan of light nights. Or heatwaves. The world just seems louder and too many arseholes come out.

bedfrog · 21/05/2026 18:26

I just love the times when I feel like the only person in the world.
Dark mornings in winter
Late night daylight in the summer (Scotland)
I als love the dramatic sunsets we get in November, frosty mornings, a cold blast of air when I open my back door. When it rains in summer but still warm, and everything is green and smells fresh.
There's something beautiful about every season

I agree with all you have said.

May is my favourite month of the year because I love the long hours of daylight, the fact that it's not usually too hot and plants are fresh, green and growing, plus all the flowers. I spend every evening outdoors if I can, and as much daytime as possible. Dislike dark mornings and evenings, I find it all depressing.

WyrdHag · 21/05/2026 18:33

Much more of an autumn person - I have hayfever, eczema, fair skin and can't bear being overheated.

I love coming home on an autumn/winter evening, shutting out the world and being cosy in my own space.

Having said that, I've started vegetable gardening this spring so am very excited for the upcoming warmer weather. Will probably be moaning for England by the end of next week though.

LlynTegid · 21/05/2026 18:35

I don't like dark evenings, hence my wish that BST was year round. I like leaving work in daylight and wish to all year round.

I hate the dark nights. I can get into the swing of it from October til Christmas but January and February are a nightmare!
Long live summer 🌞

Caspianberg · 21/05/2026 18:41

Summer and mornings. I feel like I get so much more done in summer and then more time to relax.
I often get up at 5am in summer and water the garden, have a quiet morning tea with birds before every one else is up. Then you still have 4pm-9pm sunlight also compared to winter to eat dinner outside after work

extraordinarygardener · 21/05/2026 18:42

I am. I love the sounds and smells and sights of spring and summer but I get itchy, hot and bothered, feel pressured to be outside even when it’s a PITA.

I also never know what to wear. Some women look so elegant. I do not.

OriginalSkang · 21/05/2026 18:43

Spring, summer and early mornings for me

mumofoneAloneandwell · 21/05/2026 18:44

I love the winter

But I do like winter mornings

NormasArse · 21/05/2026 18:46

No. I love light. When springtime arrives and the morning dog walk includes a sunrise, I rejoice.

I like being outdoors, hearing birds, seeing growth.

Squirrelsnut · 21/05/2026 18:46

Spring and early morning. Late summer afternoons.
I don't like dark and damp.

Netcurtainnelly · 21/05/2026 18:50

Lover of Spring and Summer.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 21/05/2026 18:52

Crepuscular and Autumn. Just to be awkward.

I like every season apart from summer. I hate the humidity, hate feeling sticky because the temperature has shot up. I’m not a fan of really cold either, it’s a pain to wrap up every time you want to go out but I’d take the cold over the hot and humid

LameStrangeNameChange · 21/05/2026 21:06

I’m a night owl and a summer person. I’ve just got in from the garden and was thinking how much happier I am when the weather’s like this. Pottering outside, doing jobs, keeping busy, enjoying the warmth and the smells, washing on the line.

Cold, dark, wet weather really brings me down.

Thatoneisnice · 21/05/2026 21:08

I love nighttime best but im not a winter person. Early autumn ispeak for me. Bit more darkness but not too cold

Frazzledinmyforties · 21/05/2026 21:12

I would hibernate between October and April if I could. Or move somewhere that has more sun and heat than England.
I don’t like the dark, cold or wet. I need the sun; I love the warmth on my skin and everyone seems to be in a better mood. Everywhere is a bit noisier too which I love because it’s happy noise.

canuckup · 21/05/2026 22:50

I don't like:

Murky November days

Extremely hot days with loads of flies, you have to wear sunscreen, frizzy hair etc

I adore bitterly cold days and autumn jewel days especially

Imaginary86 · 21/05/2026 22:57

I love it when it’s pouring it down the with rain and I can watch it from my window

Yes, there can be something soothing about it and snow as well. I find it very hypnotic to watch from out the window
