Harry Potter chat anyone? What happened after the Quidditch World cup.

After the dark mark was cast at the quidditch world cup, the Weasleys et al waited for a portkey but......Arthur, Bill, Charlie and Percy could all apparate. So why not take the other 6 by side along apparition instead? Arthur (say) could take Fred, return for George return for one more while the others take one each.

Seems far simpler to me!

But I am a bit of an asshole for plot holes in HP. Dont get me started on the Egypt holiday money issue!

AH ok! I actually won a writing competition by Waterstones with a fanfic I wrote! I only submitted it because my DD's both wanted to enter but were nervous to, so I said I would properly write up a story I had made up as a bedtime story if they did theirs!

Arthur wouldn’t have dared leave the others again in case something else happened, so bill and Charlie would’ve had to do all the work, I assumed like regular apparition it was difficult and dangerous and like we see other times in the series doing difficult magic a lot can be really exhausting, so it was safest and easiest to get one of the first port keys back.

But Bill and Charlie had already proved themselves capable of dangerous job (curse breaker and dragon handler), although I concede the point about Percy!

Appartition was legal, according to the book quite a lot apparated.

I should add that there were age based categories so I didnt beat them!

But as younger ones can’t they had to use port keys
