Which is the best instant coffee.

I started to take my coffee with no milk or sugar.
If we go out and I get an Americano that's too strong for me.
So I prefer an instant. At the moment I'm using kenco smooth and that tastes too weak.
Any suggestions on brands.

Mines is the Nescafé Azera

ItWasntMyFault · 20/05/2026 17:40

Ordinary Nescafé is my favourite

The posh ones that come in a tin like Nescafé Azera or the tesco finest one

Mine too

LyndaSnellsSniff · 20/05/2026 17:48

I have Nescafé Azerda decaff. Full caffeined coffee sends my blood pressure through the roof so I'm always looking out for decent decaff.

PawMaw · 20/05/2026 17:51

Nescafe azera or the Costa tins

MajesticWhine · 20/05/2026 17:52

I like Nescafe gold and Kenco Millicano.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 20/05/2026 17:52

Azera but just buy ground and use a caffetiere.

BeanMeUp · 20/05/2026 17:54

If you like the Kenco you could just add more

I quite like Grind (good decaf too for the poster above) or the nescafe Azera, but I do put 3-4 spoons per mug 😳

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 20/05/2026 17:56

Hate nescafe in all its variations. Kenco Millicano (usually about 6 quid a big tin in Home Bargains) or Carte Noir.

ThirdStorm · 20/05/2026 18:03

Azera. I tried the Lidl dupe but I didn’t get on with it.

Kenco decaff is our preference. Much better than the Ocado decaff I bought because it was half the price. I am working through it but will not buy it again.

FourEyesGood · 20/05/2026 18:53

Kenco Millicano - it’s usually on special offer somewhere.

Hate Nescafé.

Cat3rpillar7 · 20/05/2026 18:54

Illy! But it costs a small fortune.

Shinyandnew1 · 20/05/2026 18:56

Nescafé Alta Rica isn’t bad.

SemmaLina · 20/05/2026 18:56

Gold Blend Intense

MrsWalker2025 · 20/05/2026 18:58

Douwe Egberts

mommyduties · 21/05/2026 04:07

You could try Douwe Egberts or Nescafé Alta Rica. They have a bit more flavour without being too strong. Sometimes using a little less coffee also helps if Americanos taste too strong for you.

SadSaq · 21/05/2026 04:36

Mine is Ringtons premium gold. We have a van that comes round. I hate Nescafe. Can just about cope with Douwe Egberts.
You can get Ringtons delivered from their online site. I'm not sure of the cost for delivery though?

Move over to coffee bags, so much nicer. Percol sold in Tesco, or the strongest Taylors

AnnaQuayRules · 21/05/2026 04:58

I refuse to buy any Nestle products so don't drink nescafe. I tend to buy Kenco Millicano

WaterlooBridge · 21/05/2026 05:22

Another vote for Nescafé Azera but only because the Lavazza instant has been discontinued, used to love that stuff.

CrochetMadRosie · 21/05/2026 05:26

Not what you’re asking, but I find the coffee is too strong when I go out too so I’ve started asking for 1 shot (or sometimes even 1/2 shot!) of coffee which is so much nicer.

Another Azera fan here for instant at home.

Kenco decaf is nice.
