My mate has now made it as far as Munich. I'm enjoying his travelogue on his way to Budapest. I swear he's putting more effort into this than he did into his PhD viva.

I'm dropping my son off at Luton this evening for his flight to Bratislava.

I hope he has an amazing time!

DH and DS are leaving at 2 am for their flight to Budapest. (Which, because DH is an insane optimist, he booked long before Arsenal were anywhere near this game.)

One of the rare times where blind optimism has probably saved nothing time and money!

Just an insane dyed-in-the-wool fan from birth who has been waiting Far Too Long for all this. He and DS were at Selhurst last weekend and DS (14 and rather self-conscious) was totally taken aback that DH was actually crying.

True, maybe they're seeing it as an investment opportunity!

More of the men in my life, and several of the women, have cried more this week than in livng memory!

As a menopausal woman who has been a lifelong crier at anything the remotest bit sad, or happy, I have been a complete and utter blubbering wreck! I had to stop myself looking at Instagram as I would see more celebrations and it would set me off again! The last time they won the league I was 18 and in the middle of my A Levels and in love with my childhood sweetheart... now I'm 40 and erm single...

I've been mostly grinning.

OK, I lie, I cried once, but that's because my friend sent me a montage of Emery's time at Villa set to Fix you by Coldplay.

I defy anyone not to cry at that.

My partner is leaving at 3.15 am. Whilst I would have loved to have gone, I’m quite happy that I’ll be rolling over and going back to sleep!
