What happens at an NHS wheelchair assessment

I already know I'm not eligible for a power chair, as the criteria is being unable to get between your bedroom and bathroom. I haven't had a wheelchair assessment for 10 years (I had brain surgery, so I was no longer eligible for a power chair, and I couldn't propel the manual chair they gave me so I had to go privately). However, I rang them to ask for a new pressure cushion, and this has resulted in a 60 minute appointment for me with the wheelchair service. I'm not sure why it's so long, except they said they were going to look at my posture. 10 years ago I was told they would only supply a seat cushion, but maybe that has changed?
Does anyone know what happens at a wheelchair service appointment please?

Things may have changed and it depends on local service. My local service provides a wheelchair IF you need it in the house.
Manual or power was based on the ability to self propel.

I was with my adult child last week and they looked at the chair the body position etc asked how they managed differently since last assessment ( now they need to be able to get in in their own car by themselves as they drive) it was a physio who did most of the questions and the wheelchair rep was on hand to make suggestions. They had a go in two different types of wheelchair tries to get both in the car by themselves and then chose the solid frame one as it was easier.
