Anyone know of any short American school exchanges?

My teenage son (14) is v keen to experience an American High School. We have no links with America. I found some formal exchange programs online for a whole semester at the cost of many tens of thousands of pounds. This is not in reach even if I was prepared to let him go for so long, which I am not. Anyone know any way of making this happen for him for a couple of weeks, or affordable US summer camps which might scratch that itch?

Can't imagine there are any cheap places, especially as an international student.

US summer camps are super expensive like thousands of dollars.

I'd suggest that he do a PGL one in the UK and consider applying to work in an American one as an older teenager / on holiday from uni.
As an international student, irrespective of affordability he will be very long distance should you have to go and retrieve him for any reason. I'd want my child to be able to safely and confidently fly in and out of the USA
