What are your house rules when no parent is home?

I'm in new territory!
What are your rules for your teenagers when there is no parent home for the day? Are they allowed a friend over? Friends? Boy/girlfriend?

Are they allowed out for the whole day? Do you expect them to stay the majority of the day at home and go out for a couple of hours?

What's reasonable or normal here?

Don't leave a mess for me to clean up
Don't leave the front door open when you go out
No boyfriend/girlfriend round under age 16 without an adult at home
That's about it. If you don't trust them to adhere to the no boyfriend/girlfriend rule then get a ring doorbell.

At 14 I did what I wanted anyway and my parents were none the wiser when they got home.

I just asked them to respect the home. I’m amazed at people saying their teens can’t use the hob, mine were safe to use it by the time they started secondary

Clean up after yourself, lock the door and if you go out make sure hairstraightners, oven etc is turned off. No point in making rules about who can and can't come round they will ignore you anyway. If your going out msg where your going and when you will be back

Our boys are 18, 21 and 24. If we go away overnight, the only rule is "don't kill each other"

Two are autistic and I don't think they've got enough friends between them to throw a party. We get on very well with our neighbours so they'd get about 30 minutes in before we were alerted anyway!

Don't do anything that will lead to the emergency services being called.
Clean up after youselves.
