Do your cleaners charge hourly rates or a fixed per-house fee?

Just wondering if you have a cleaner do they charge an hourly fee or a per house fee?

I’ve been with my cleaner for a while and have always paid an hourly rate. Everything gets done within that time.

She’s recently restructured and instead of charging an hourly fee she’s now charging a “per house fee”. So a fee based on how many bedrooms and bathrooms. This restructure means I will be paying 25% more in price but it also means she could fly through my house and I could be paying even more as if she finishes early instead of finding something else to do would be leaving. So her hourly fee would technically be going up even more.

She’s cleaned my house for a while now so could get through very fast if she tried. I do like her so before I start looking elsewhere I was wondering if this is normal for you or if you pay hourly?

I pay hourly but my cleaner leaves early if she's really cracked through it and I don't mind. She's a great cleaner. She also changes times sometimes, or swaps days around for other clients, but never puts me out. My view is I pay her £150 per month and my house is always clean, so fair play to her. That's what I'm looking for.

If she wasn't doing the job, then I'd have a word, but otherwise she's the professional and I let her get on with it.
