Light bites in Chelmsford on Sunday

Please could someone recommend a pub or restaurant in Chelmsford (walking distance of train station) that does good ‘light bites’ such as a sandwich, salad or jacket potato on a Sunday? I am meeting some older family there in a few weeks and they don’t want to have a roast, so it needs to be somewhere that caters for a lighter appetite. People are arriving by train into the town centre, so walking distance of there please.

I have asked Chat GPT and it has recommended one that only does a roast Sunday - not other dishes (unless anyone else can give advice?), one that seems a bit studenty and loud, and one that doesn’t have a menu.

The pubs recommended were The Ship, The Plough (is this a student pub? Not sure it looked suitable for 70+ age range), The Railway Tavern (I could t find a menu for this place). Thank you

There's Bills and other chain restaurants where you'd find smaller lunch dishes just a short walk from the station, near John Lewis.
