DH has been coughing for a good 4-5 years.
Not terribly bad, but when he wakes up or does excerise sometimes it’s to the point where he’s sick othertimes not.
His mum died of lung cancer a few year ago and he decided to try and get fit. He quit smoking after 25 years, and the cough is still there. He was addicted to drugs before we got together and we think he’s done some heart/lung damage.
He’s noticed when he does cardio he gets out of breath fast & his arms/hands go tingly.
I have finally managed to convince him go to the GP tomorrow but I am terrifed.
What if it’s lung cancer or heart failure? 😭
Has anyone else had this symptoms and it’s not been as bad as what you fear? I just can’t loose DH.

He’s doing exactly the right thing in going to the GP. This starts a whole process of tests and monitoring which sounds scary but you must cling onto the fact that it’s better to know so you can act if you need to. Tomorrow is the first positive step in that direction.

Thank you, we went this morning they put him
on the two week pathaway for lung cancer and have ordered an emergency CT scan in the next 2 weeks. They’ve made an appointment with the copd nurse to rule it out too. He has finger clubbing and they look worried 😭

Whatever it is the sooner it's diagnosed the better his chances. It's good they are taking it seriously and getting tests in place.
