Vinted - wrong item sent but I have to pay to return it! Advice please.

I’ve been sent the wrong item - a fairly manky skirt instead of the blouse I bought. Seller hasn’t responded to a message sent yesterday and if I report I have to pay to send the item back before I get a refund, which seems very unfair. If it was a £2 item I’d just chalk it up to experience but it was £12. Any advice please?

You don’t have to pay if the seller agrees to pay the return postage. Raise a query “wrong item” and see what the seller does. I think the options they have are “refund with no return”, “refund, with return they pay for” and “refund, with return you pay for”. If they don’t give you the response you want escalate with Vinted.

All good now. Seller has responded and issued a refund, which I had to initiate via the issue button.
