Can three car seats fit across the back of an Audi Q2?

Hi everyone,

I’m about to have baby number 3 and I’m wondering about car seats. We have an Audi Q2 and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience fitting three car seats in the back? We have a nearly 5 year old who can go into a high back booster so doesn’t need a harness. And a 3 year old who needs a harness. I have the Doona car seat and base for the baby. I’m thinking we may need to have baby in the front with the airbag off so thought I’d check here for anyone with experience!

Thank you!

I've had this problem and as far as I could find not many standard '5' seater cars could fit 3 across the back.
You can get slim high back boosters but they still are quite bulky as they don't take into account the sides of the back. Only the measurements of the seat part.

Measure your back seats end to end, then measure your car seats. It may be possible with a certain combination of car seats but it's unlikely I'd say.

I had baby with air bag off in my Audi A3.

If you use Facebook you could try the In Car Safety Centre page. They are amazing for advising which seats can work, they may even be a travel able distance for you to visit.

I dont think you'll get 3 across the middle - there are very few SUVs that do fit 3 across for some reason. We actually swapped to a 7 seater so we could have all 3 on seats with isofix fittings.

Thank you so much for your replies. I’ve been looking at the narrow car seat options but I think I’ll just have baby in the front for now. Switching cars is unfortunately not an option for us right now.
