I have just watched this series about the black cab rapist Jon Warboys. Very disturbing that the police were so incompetent.
My DD late teens,was raped after a night out in 2020, (stranger rape)initially the police were quite rubbish,I was there throughout. Quite soon a police woman who had been specially trained in sex crimes became involved and although still traumatic it was better. The whole not being believed is real, but the CPS agreed it could go to court. Only 3% do.The rapist was bailed with conditions not to contact us(could not happen) and report to police station every week. We are still waiting for a court date!!!!!
He is still out there!!! He could be doing anything.
Our lives have been rocked to their foundations, we have rebuilt stronger but have a black cloud hanging over us. Still taking meds. Still dreading the date coming though, no wonder people don’t persue,we don’t want it to happen to anyone else, that’s our motivation.
