Is the Mumsnetter who has a pond in her garden and reported on the ducks and geese, still on Mumsnet ?

Sorry OP but your thread title made me laugh. Conjured up a picture of the OP trotting down to her local police station to report what these anti social ducks and geese were up to in her garden!

I don't know the threads but will definitely have a look now @BrownTroutBluesAgain
has helpfully provided the information.

Yes thank you @BrownTroutBluesAgain

Aw I liked that thread too! I hope she is still around!

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/05/2026 15:56

It was one of those lovely threads that I looked forward to every day!

SixthWorstOption · 16/05/2026 15:59

Also following for an update as the original threads were a lovely, gently oasis. I hope OP, her husband and the ducks are doing ok 🦆

Me too, which I suppose is indicative of what Mumsnet/society has become. We need more duck threads to counter it. Other birds and wild creatures welcome!

I was thinking about this the other day! The OP had such a lovely way of writing I really enjoyed those threads

Sparkletastic · 16/05/2026 17:08

Loved that poster and her nature updates. Second only to the Playmobil lady who brings me such joy.

There’s a fox den around the back of my garden. The mum comes and has a nap in my grass most days around 5pm. Her pup (kit?) came for a frolic on Tuesday and was so tiny it was very sweet.

Also the crows have a nest in my dogwood and they’re at war with a local Tom cat. They often square up to one another.

maximist · 16/05/2026 17:18

I was just thinking about her the other day! I’d love to read more adventures of the pond.

Tenniswhites · 16/05/2026 18:01

I so enjoyed those threads; it sounded like a lot of work but so rewarding. I would love to know how they’re all doing.

SoMuchToBits has tableaux of playmobil figurines for Advent, Olympics, and similar occasions. I wonder if there’ll be a World Cup scene soon.

I’m just wondering how you would word the title to find out about the duck pond lady. I knew that title was odd. But I couldn’t remember the poster’s name.
Alanthepig who posted about a duck pond.
