Around 2010 ish. Supermarket - probably Tesco but possibly Sainsbury (or both). Little see through perspex cases around 15cm square with a little handle and inside was the play area - so maybe a race track with some ridges and rolling plastic cars. Or a mini farmyard set. There were quite a few variations.

I used to get them for DC when they were little and they loved them, but I can't find a picture of one anywhere.

My DC had peek a boo cubes but they were smaller 🤔 I’ll keep thinking!

I have a vague memory of a Christmas themed one I saw in a supermarket when our girls were young. I can’t find any photos on line apart from Polly Pocket play sets. We had lots of those.

Yes, they were the Polly Pocket era but neutral branding and quite simple. I can't find a single image anywhere and nobody else can remember them.

Like micro cars?

just googled Micro Cars. A bit... but the point was that the little case folder out flat and had ridges and a cardboard insert to make a track. And there were other variations - not just driving.
