Well it's started.

Where did you see this?

It is on the news now.

PurpleLovecats · 14/05/2026 13:04

Surprise surprise

Pinribbons · 14/05/2026 13:06

Will Starmer run if/when there's a leadership campaign?

It would be close, but I think he'd win.

Where did you see this?

On Sky news. They're usually first. But now saying he might not trigger a ballot for leadership. Well he won't if he thinks he might lose.

Yikes, I’m a Labour voter and although they have been very disappointing to date, I didn’t think they’d knife each other in the back/front like a tedious Tory tribute band. So much for being the grown up option 🤷‍♀️

keepswimming38 · 14/05/2026 13:07

He’s not helping. He was probably just fed up of being health secretary and it was an easy way out.

AmyFl · 14/05/2026 13:07

The last thing this country needs is another Prime Minister.

Don't know why you thought they would be any different.

keepswimming38 · 14/05/2026 13:13

Mm let’s think top human rights lawyer versus national union of students representative 🤔

AlexaStopAlexaNo · 14/05/2026 13:13

Tatty bye!!! 👋

Pinribbons · 14/05/2026 13:18

It's a shame because I had high hopes that someone might actually stick with the project long enough to make a differemt to the NHS.

Nanda66 · 14/05/2026 13:18

What a snake. I actually thought he was doing a good job but clearly his personal ambition matters more to him than delivering what he was tasked to do.

Mischance · 14/05/2026 13:24

What a nitwit.

cantgardenintherain · 14/05/2026 13:25

Can’t stand him. No doubt he’s learned a lot from his friendship and advice from Mandelson.

LotsAndLotsOfUnsernames · 14/05/2026 13:27

Just after selling out on NHS patient data.

Have you heard about his links to the private healthcare sector @Pinribbons?

Yet another UK politician (of all parties) in the thralls of high-net-worth individuals and corporate donors, the majority of whom (the politicians) have a significant and growing dependency upon.

spoooooons · 14/05/2026 13:28

What a shitshow. The worst thing is that this completely plays into reforms hands, labour have shown they're no better than the tories by backstabbing eachother at the first sign that there might be some power up for grabs.

despicable.

BelleEpoque27 · 14/05/2026 13:28

Fucksake. I hoped for better. Can we please just keep the same PM for five minutes.

SeriousFaffing · 14/05/2026 13:29

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, the sooner this country stops expecting a rotating cast of prime ministers, the sooner we’ll be in a better position as a country.

Congratulations to Wes Streeting and his cronies for taking our country one step closer to being ungovernable… And all for his own personal gain.

Jane143 · 14/05/2026 13:31

Maybe he wants to join Reform!

@Jane143 He’s put on his slippery, backstabbing b*t*d suit, may as well!

To quote Jimmy C from 1980… ‘for pity’s sake STOP ARGUING……’

🤣🤣🤣maybe he will become Besties with Nige!🤮

JazzyJelly · 14/05/2026 13:37

Just what we need. Tory-style leadership chaos. I hope if there is a contest he loses just for kicking off all the coming instability.
