UC 3rd child element payment?

My friend has 2 children and is on UC and gets child element for both. She’s due to have her 3rd child in December. Will she get the 3rd child element payment? Or is it only for certain criteria

Did she choose to have a third child? If so, totally irresponsible knowing financially she can''t support it.

Yes, she'll get UC for her third child.
The 2 child limit has been repealed.
Depending on her circumstances she might be hit by the benefit cap.

This system is meant to be short term crutch to keep people (especially children) out of poverty when and if they fall on hard times.

Fully support that and anyone should use it if they need to. But only if they need to, until they're back on their feet etc

Having more children despite not being able to financially support the ones you have already got is why the system is broken.
