Advice on short listing - bricking it

I’m likely to be made redundant very soon (NHS) - I need to decide whether to take voluntary redundancy this week

But I’ve also seen a job that I really, really want which I’ve applied for. The closing date was Monday….how long realistically before I hear if I’ve been shortlisted?

It’s a long, long time since I applied for jobs and need someone to talk me down

In my experience it can vary massively. Sometimes a few days from the closing date, sometimes (more often I’m afraid) weeks.
