DS is going to be turning 13 in August, I have no idea what to do for it! He wouldn't want a traditional party and doesn't really even know enough people to invite to one. He goes to a special school so not many kids, he has two proper friends so a day out or something like that is what I'm thinking would be best- but doing what? What do 13 year old boys like to do? He hates theme parks etc
I have asked him but he's not sure either

DS did paintballing last year when he turned 13. His friends have done cinema and food, go-karting, escape rooms, bowling, laser tag, foot golf.

Does he like animals? Some zoos and animal parks do keeper experiences. He may enjoy interacting with the animals and learning about them.

What part of the country are you in?

I have twin DSs. When they were around that age we went to Airkix then bowling. A couple of times we went to Go Ape. The first time to do the course and the second on segway around the forest. Hopefully some ideas here for you.

It depends entirely on what he/ they want to do and what they are interested in. People have made good suggestions here.
Bowling
Climbing/aerial adventure centre
Go karting
Cinema
Theatre
Crazy or virtual golf centre

He doesn’t have to do any big day out at all really if there is nothing he fancies. He might be happy just to go out for a meal or have a pizza and movie night with some friends at home.

Ten pin bowling/cinema with pizza or burgers after ? Always popular with my two sons
