I could have sworn the ice cream in a Feast was Chocolate not Vanilla

Yes they’ve changed the recipe for some stupid reason.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/05/2026 20:31

Aldi Fiestas are much better

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/05/2026 20:34

@SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter The hard chocolate bit doesn’t go all the way down either

I currently have a 1 a day habit with these. I prefer them to the original feasts, the chocolate inside is really nice.

roseymoira · 12/05/2026 20:41

Never forgave them when they discontinued the mint feasts

catsmother · 12/05/2026 20:43

Yep, I blindly grabbed the blue box the other week without really looking and was genuinely disappointed when I sat down to enjoy a treat which I'd not had for years. With the rampant enshittification everywhere I expected them to be smaller (tick) but I certainly wasn't expecting the tasteless white ice cream (no discernible vanilla) nor the nasty smear of oily hazelnut don't know what in the centre instead of the solid chocolate block of old.

In fact, I almost started a thread in AIBU titled '... to cry about the new Feasts' but felt too embarrassed to do so - 1st world problems etc - but it was true, I'd had a bad day and then finding yet another intelligence insulting 'new recipe' (when we all know its to sell a lesser quality item for the same price) did indeed prompt a tear or two of frustration!

On the bright side, my indignation had me Googling and I found that Aldi do a very acceptable version of the 'old' Feast, think it's called Festival, which has chocolate ice cream and a solid choc block centre and they're actually very nice.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/05/2026 20:49

Similar - @catsmotherwas supposed to be a treat on a bad day!

Did you have the caramel Feast by accident? I think they have white ice cream with a caramel centre

No standard Feast no discernible Caramel

Agree with Aldi fiesta. Proper solid chocolate in the middle

What!!!!

So it’s not a Feast and it’s not a feast. Bastards.

Chocolattcoffeecup · 12/05/2026 21:11

I bought some the other day, after seeing they'd changed, but I managed to get hold of the original ones.

66babe · 12/05/2026 21:11

Not me googling what time Aldi closes because now I want a fake feast …

Mattressahoy · 12/05/2026 21:16

I had one for nostalgia reasons a few weeks ago and it has chocolate ice cream BUT it was disgusting 😔. I really wish I'd let it live on in my memories instead.
