Excessive ‘empty’ burps! Has anyone had an actual diagnosis?

I’m at the end of my tether..
it’s daily and constant and feels at time that air bubbles come up in my chest making me feel extremely uncomfortable and as if I have to burp to release!
At times it’s made me feel lightheaded and I go into a panic attack…

I am getting NOWHERE with my GPs, I have mentioned it constantly over the last few years, it’s got worse and I’m being completely ignored.

Has anyone ever had anything that I can go in and INSIST they get me examined appropriately and not just ‘assume’ it’s something not to worry about, it’s honestly sending me stir crazy 😓

Thanks.

Reflux? People feel symptoms in different ways, a tightness, a pressure, a lump in the throat, increase in burping, you don't necessarily have the acid taste in your mouth
Have you tried keeping a food diary? (I find eating bread causes my symptoms - I'd describe it as feeling a tightness /weight on my chest, and a sort of a difficulty catching my breath) You could give gavison a go, which you can get OTC to see if it helps or asking for a prescription of landsoprazole to see if it makes a difference

Are you on any weight loss medication?

I would also suggest reflux.
