Just turned on sky news. Press pack outside Downing Street yelling at Minister as they walk in. They're not answering. It's quite a spetacle. Bit like thumbs down in an ancient Rome arena. Apparently Streeting has launched a coup against PM. What a drama.

He could. It must be tempting to say fuck it and release chaos on yhe UK.

Yep, if it was me, I'd move to Switzerland and start up a new life with my family. I wouldn't bother resigning, I'd just see how long it took for anyone to notice.

At some point, I'd pop on Instagram and trigger a general election.

On BBC Breakfast they announced they had some "breaking news". I thought Keir had resigned. No, it was "Wes Streeting has entered No. 10 Downing Street".🙄

It is pathetic.

If any if these utter tossers put anywhere near the effort into doing the job they are actually employed for as they do on saving their own arses and bettering their personal situations, the country might not be in quite the bloody state it is.
The conservatives played out this f*cking pantomime for years, and now this shower of shit are doing exactly the same.
Is it any wonder that people are turning to more extreme parties of every persuasion?

I think the King should use your post in his speech today.😀

😂😂😂😂

Haven't you got a playground to be in?
I dont vote Labour
But you're tedious

Paul2023 · 13/05/2026 11:21

I’m centre right , I don’t like Labour and not Starmers biggest fan.
But ..he needs to stay and see us through to the next GE. His government need to back him and get on with the job, to fix the complete mess the Tories left us with.
We had this chopping and changing chaos before , the markets are already unstable.

People are getting hammered on mortgages deals because of the chaos in the world, let’s have a stable government atleast .

JaneFondue · 13/05/2026 12:03

Seems KS may be staying and Wes for the chop. Hope so.

Ocdparentocdchild · 13/05/2026 12:30

Paul2023 · 13/05/2026 00:00

Just a question. If they force Starmer to resign or set a leaving date could he fuck them all up by calling for a GE?

If enough Labour MPs stab Starmer in the back could he in theory call an election and leave Labour to be wiped out?

Im not saying he would but curious

Edited

I don’t think he would do that as he would know the harm Reform could do.

Ocdparentocdchild · 13/05/2026 12:32

I do actually feel that KS is the best option we have currently. He also pissed Trump off so for that alone he’s worthy of some respect !

Paul2023 · 13/05/2026 13:13

Didn’t Wes go to see Keir, and left shortly afterwards? Not a good sign for Wes!

Not sure how you come up with that.

Streeting presumably went in to say simply that if Starmer doesn’t resign he’ll run against him. They probably had a few terse words, and that was it.

I doubt they’d have an hour’s matey chat about forcing the end of Starmer’s career.

Hallowedturf · 13/05/2026 14:21

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 12/05/2026 11:45

I've got to say, I admire Starmer's resilience, if nothing else. I really thought he would go this morning.

I am no great fan of Starmer, but I don't want any of this psychodrama right now, I just want our politicians to focus on delivering better outcomes for the country.

How’s that working out for you this afternoon?

And Keir could have said to Wes- “Wes if you force me to resign so you can run against me, I will call a snap general election and make you all lose your jobs “

I think I get what you mean.

He could have done that, I suppose. But even Starmer isn’t that mad.

Hallowedturf · 13/05/2026 14:21

Pretty much the same as yesterday. I am not sure why it would be any different?

I have not been much of a Starmer fan overall, but I have been genuinely impressed by his resilience in recent days.

And I continue to feel irritated by the fuss over the party leadership when I would prefer that they focus instead on governing the country.

elvischicken22 · 15/05/2026 12:37

I must be thick but can somebody please explain to me why Starmer would want to stay in post given he must know nobody wants him to. Is it just arrogance or thought of self worth?

Viviennemary · 15/05/2026 15:19

StrictlyCoffee · 12/05/2026 22:44

Totally agree. People need to grow up and get the fuck over it. And also realise that Reform don’t give a shit about them and will royally fuck them over to line their own pockets.

Same could apply to Labour. All they want to do is screw the tax payer for money to feed their daft socialist pie in the sky ideas.

His handlers put him there. He's expected to stay put until their authoritarian plans for Europe are realised. He'll be getting some serious flack behind the scenes. They obviously misjudged his alleged intelligence.

Exactly all the instability is worse, for everyone, than any period of left or right ring as long as it’s not extreme
