I'm trying to arrange a meeting with an old friend, & Sevenoaks is about equidistant for us - Sussex & Essex. This will be mid-week & term-time.
Slight problem, neither of us know the area !
We're looking for a place that does lunches, with a biggish car park, preferably not in the city centre. Possibly a Harvester/Wetherspoons type of place. And where we can sit & natter for hours without black looks from the staff as we won't be having alcohol. Maybe with a park or something nearby where we can wander.

Doesn't have to be Sevenoaks, just in the general area.
Thanks very much.

Can I suggest the white hart on Tonbridge road in Sevenoaks? Big pub, big car park and right opposite knole park with a pedestrian entrance nearby. I’m sure drinks and nattering and some food will be all fine.

The White Hart is a good suggestion due to close proximity to the A21. Sevenoaks traffic is notoriously awful. Do NOT go any further into town than that by car!

Oxted has a Wetherspoons right by their big car park, also has some decent restaurants in walking distance so you could eat nicer stuff than Spoons food but then move to Spoons to chat longer. The car park is only free for 3 hours on the top level as it belongs to Morrisons but the pay and display on the floor below you can stay longer. The park in Oxted isn’t much of a walk but it has 2 high streets (kind of) so a nice little wander if you wanted to.

Carpark is Morrisons and is time restricted. Underneath is station carpark free after 10am or would suggest La
Cucina on Station Road East with public carpark behind shops in Ellice Road. Chartwell (NT) near Westerham. has a coffee shop next to the carpark and you can walk in the woods free.

I think Morrisons is now only 2 hours’ parking ? But the under station car park is a shout. I think you might now need to pay 10p and get a printed ticket to display by all accounts.

There is a Spoons in Sevenoaks, but parking is pretty dire. What about a Miller & Carter? Has its own car park and you won’t need to go through town.

Many thanks everyone, I'm checking them all out.
