Am I losing the plot- Bohemian Rhapsody!

Ok so we’re all familiar with the song bohemian rhapsody by queen right!? I’ve been singing it all my life, and I specifically remember singing this on karaoke on far more than 1 occasion, with the lyrics up on the screen, and have always seen it/sung it as ‘mama, just killed a man, put a gun up to his head, pulled the trigger now he’s dead’. Does anyone else remember this version?? Because why when I just put it on the Alexa to wash the dishes; and then googled the lyrics after as I was confused, is it saying ‘mama, I just killed a man, put a gun AGAINST his head’??? I don’t know I am under a lot of stress right now so maybe I’m just losing it altogether!

It's always been against since I can recall, and I remember watching it on Top of the Pops when it was in the charts.

I think you may have experienced the Poundland version of Karaoke rather than the usual classy version 😉

I'm old enough to remember it hitting number one in 1975 and it was (and still is) against. It's also "mama, just killed a man (no "I" beforehand) and pulled my trigger. I think you probably just misheard somewhere along the line and it's stuck. I've done that with loads of song lyrics over the years.
