London Visit Ideas for Teenage DD

We’re off to London in the summer. I’ve taken DD a few times and wonder if there are some things we are missing.
So far this trip we are going to the NH Museum, Beetlejuice the musical and to see the Ardmann exhibition. We wanted to see Wes Anderson exhibition but we’re too late sadly.
Her idea of shopping is going to PopMart.
She likes more alternative things, we went to a few gardens last time we went too. She is gluten free and eats very little so places like Borough Market are out, we’re going to a few specialist bakeries.
weve done lots of things before V&a, art galleries, Greenwich, Covent Garden, HP studios, aquarium- I just always think we must be missing something interesting.

How about Japan House and a nearby Design Museum?
A walk in Hampstead and later a sunset from Primrose Hill.
Brixton Market.

Japan House especially if they have stationary.

Does Brixton market sell something in particular?

Reviews are a bit mixed but teen DD and I enjoyed Hunger Games at Canary Wharf. Good view even in cheap seats. She enjoyed a walk around there too, as well as walk over to Cutty Sark/Greenwich market through foot tunnel.

If she likes art and Harry Potter then the House of MinaLima is worth a visit if you're nearby. It's a shop/gallery run by the graphic designers who worked on Harry Potter.

Frida Kahlo at Tate (Tracey Emin if she’s an older teen). Wouldn’t bother with natural history myself, unless it’s a specific area of interest for her.

Camden market is grim but if she likes alternative stuff maybe she would like it!

Converse4Ever · 11/05/2026 21:49

We’ve been to Camden market twice - never again. It’s not the place of my youth!

NH museum is a must - it has fish stuff (an area of interest for her).

Twist Museum?

Have you done things like the Shard etc?

Converse4Ever · 11/05/2026 22:40

No she wouldn’t like the twist museum or anything where you had to go on a lift.
